Four Jet A1 fuel storage tanks are gradually rising above the ground at the a site adjacent to the Motukea international wharf. The construction work by Kumul Petroleum Holdings Limited is part of their commitment to provide a long-term solution to critical fuel suuply in Port Moresby and PNG and ensure that fuel supply crises will not occur again in future.
To support each of the four 3000 cubic metre tanks, strong foundations are required. These tank bases are now almost complete and work will continue on assembling the tanks and associated ship offloading and truck loading infrastructure.
