Reporting to the Terminal Manager, the incumbent will supervise the daily operations of the shipping operations, tank farm, gantry, utilities, raise request for maintenance. Also be the custodian for the fuel stock, monitoring of stock movement and help planning stock clerk and dispatcher in reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct business according to company Statement of General Business Principles.
  • Assist the Terminal Manager in ensuring that there is an effective implementation of the company’s Business Controls Framework. This requires adherence to company policies, standards, guidelines, and systems (procedures).
  • Involved and participated in achieving KPI targets. This includes prompt collation, preparation
    and submission of all reportorial requirements to monitor agreed KPIs.
  • Involved, participate, and comply with the defined Business Continuity Plan/Disaster Recovery Plan to avoid disruptions in depot operations.
  • Responsible for all maintenance management/ surveillance activities in the Terminal
  • Coordinate all the Inspection & Maintenance regimes for the terminal and is responsible for the day-to-day execution of maintenance work, generally managed through a computerized maintenance management system.
  • Maintain HSSE critical equipment and ensure optimum working conditions.
  • Involved in the implementation and maintenance of the T&S Management Systems.
  • Involved in obtaining the allocation of the necessary funds and business approval, construction and decommissioning of assets, and project performance reviews during yearly budget exercise (T&R)
  • Assist the Terminal Manager in ensuring that key issues in the terminal operations (using the Risk Matrix) are identified and that action plans are developed.
  • Involved in terminal initiatives/programs and their implementation.
  • Responsible for verifying and monitoring preventive maintenance execution at the Terminal. To ensure proper and timely execution of the Reliability and Integrity (R&I) program, including the Tank, Jetty, and Pipeline Integrity Program.
  • Part of the terminal Firefighting, emergency response/oil spill management team and shall participate in the required training/drills.
  • Support and participate in all audits/reviews of the terminal
  • Support and supervise all engineering dimensions: projects in the terminal, including those initiated by Engineering.
  • Participate in all regular HSSE meetings and ensure the integrity of documents.
  • Supervise terminal operators in day-to-day work as well as provide training as and when required
  • Maintain HSSE critical equipment and ensure optimum working condition.
  • Maintain as a certified Shore Officer.

Skills, Qualifications & Experiences

  • Must have Diploma, preferably in Engineering, Technical or Marine background or other related field.
  • 5 years minimum experience in industrial facilities in areas related to maintenance, production and industrial safety.
  • 10 years minimum experience if educational requirements not met.
  • Preferably with knowledge of ISO 9000.
  • Must possess effective communication, organization and planning skills that are imperative to ensure all work is completed and communicated both internally and externally in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of Ship vetting & Inspection
  • Proficient computer knowledge and keyboard skills in a Microsoft Word/Excel for Windows and other Computer Skills as required.
