Reporting to the General Manager Projects & Engineering, the Project Manager (Oil, Gas & Energy) will be responsible for Oil, Gas and Energy projects. These includes selection of contractors and consultants, cost stewardship, lead meetings and workshops, prioritize resource levels based on schedule, risks assessments, monitor deliverables, etc.
The incumbent will also prepare routine compliance reporting as scheduled and assist the GM to coach, mentor, install or upgrade PM Tools, Software and Systems, Policies, Regulations and Standard Operating Procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire project life cycle from ASSESS phase to OPERATE and CLOSEOUT phases.
- Advise on technical matters.
- Meet project schedule due dates and seek adjustments accordingly.
- Manage plant, labor and equipment resources conducive to project deliverables.
- Be a safety leader by applying the KPHL HSE MS.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports in a timely manner.
- Assist in preparing the operational budgets for the annual operating plan budget.
Qualifications/Experiences:
- Bachelors and/or Post Graduate degree in the engineering or construction.
- Must be a registered member of IEPNG.
- Proficient in the use of Primavera P6, Oracle, Project Costing, MS Project, POWER BI, dashboard, Smartplant, Questor, etc.
- Experience in managing projects from ASSESS to OPERATE / CLOSE-OUT phases of the Asset Life cycle.
- Experience in interfacing with Contractors, Subcontractors, Suppliers and Vendors.
- Familiar with the use of industry Standard Codes and best Practices such as ASs, ISOs, BS, API, PNGS, ASME, etc.
Technical Skills/Competencies:
- High level skills in engineering discipline applicable to infrastructure and facilities.
- High level skills in Project Management with demonstrable observations in Cost Time and Resource stewardship.
- High level skills in communications and interfacing.
- High level skills in Contractor management.
