We’re now inviting applicants from suitably qualified and experienced professionals to fill these exciting and rewarding positions with our Motukea Fuel Facility (MFF) Project.

Reporting to the Terminal Operations Supervisor, the incumbent will be Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of terminal facilities, including the receipt, storage, and distribution of fuel. This role involves overseeing loading and unloading operations (Shipping and Gantry Operations), operations and monitoring of all utilities and ensuring equipment is maintained, and adhering to safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Loading and Unloading: Supervise the safe and efficient loading and unloading of petroleum products from trucks and vessels.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain terminal equipment, including pumps, meters, and loading racks, to ensure proper functioning.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and track inventory levels, ensuring accurate records and prompt response to product demands.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality control tests on products, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety procedures, monitor compliance with regulations, and address potential safety hazards.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of operations, including loading/unloading documentation, safety logs, and maintenance records.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with drivers, vessel personnel, and other terminal staff to ensure seamless operations.
  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and other operational issues.
  • Facility Maintenance: Assist with general maintenance and housekeeping tasks at the terminal

Qualifications/Experiences

  • Knowledge of petroleum products, terminal operations, and related equipment.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals, including drivers, vessel personnel, and other terminal staff.
  • Ability to identify and resolve operational issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in using computer programs for inventory management, data recording, and communication.
  • Certifications related to handling hazardous materials may be required.
  • Training in safety procedures and emergency response may be required.
  • Training specific to the types of products and equipment used at the terminal.

Ability to perform tasks in varying weather conditions and physical environments.
