Reporting to the Terminal Manager, the incumbent will ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the facility’s equipment and infrastructure. This involves managing work orders, scheduling maintenance activities, overseeing contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work Order Management: Manage the entire process of work orders, from receiving requests to tracking their completion and ensuring they are accurately recorded.
  • Maintenance Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans, schedule maintenance activities, and ensure timely completion of work to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.
  • Contractor Management: Coordinate with and oversee the work of external contractors to ensure quality and compliance with safety and contract terms.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies related to maintenance operations.
  • Equipment and Facility Maintenance: Monitor equipment performance, identify maintenance needs, and implement necessary repairs or upgrades to maintain facility integrity and operational efficiency.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment performance, and generate reports as required.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies to ensure availability and minimize disruptions.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Serve as a point of contact for maintenance issues, communicate with staff and stakeholders, and collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Skills, Qualifications & Experiences

  • Must have diploma in engineering with over 5yrs experience or a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and a deep understanding of safety regulations and industry standards are also crucial.
  • Knowledge of oil storage and supply terminal operations, maintenance procedures, and relevant equipment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple work orders, and track progress effectively.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with staff, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and solve maintenance-related problems.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and procedures in oil storage and supply terminal operations.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software and other relevant computer applications.
  • Previous experience in maintenance coordination or a related field, preferably in an oil storage and supply terminal or a similar industrial environment.
