Reporting to the Terminal Operations Supervisor, the incumbent will oversees the safe and efficient operation of an oil storage and supply terminal, ensuring the smooth movement of petroleum products through pipelines, storage tanks, and other equipment. They are responsible for monitoring terminal systems, controlling operations, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Constant monitoring of pipeline equipment, meters, computer systems, and other terminal equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Operating pumps, valves, and other equipment to control the flow of petroleum products.
- Tracking and managing product levels in storage tanks, ensuring accurate inventory records.
- Enforcing safety protocols, ensuring compliance with regulations, and responding to emergencies.
- Maintaining accurate records of operations, including meter readings, product samples, and maintenance logs.
- Communicating with other personnel, including field operators, control center staff, and supervisors.
- Performing routine maintenance and inspections on terminal equipment, reporting malfunctions to supervisors.
- Conducting quality control tests on products and maintaining compliance with quality standards.
- Supervising the loading and unloading of petroleum products into and out of storage tanks and transportation vehicles.
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures, regulatory standards, and safety regulations related to HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental).
Qualifications/Experiences
- Must have Diploma, preferably in Engineering, Technical or Marine background or other related field.
- Must have 3yrs or more in DCS or Control Room work experience in Oil & Gas facilities
- Must possess effective communication, organization and planning skills that are imperative to ensure all work is completed and communicated both internally and externally in a timely manner.
- Proficient computer knowledge and keyboard skills in a Microsoft Word/Excel for Windows and other Computer Skills as required.
