Kumul Petroleum Charity Golf Challenge enters second year
Kumul Petroleum Holdings Limited (KPHL), PNG’s National Oil and Gas Company (NOC) is doing it again …. fundraising for Life PNG Care (LPC), a charity organisation helping vulnerable children in Port Moresby.
The Kumul Petroleum Charity Golf (KPCG) challenge will be held on Friday June 28, at the Royal Port Moresby Golf Club.
At the Media Launch of this year’s event today, Managing Director of KPHL, Mr Wapu Sonk said the 4-man Ambrose team format will be the same as last year’s.
“We are appealing to corporate sponsored teams and individuals who believe in the initiative taken by Kumul Petroleum Holdings to help raise funds for a charity organisation, to come forward and register. Your support will go a long way in impacting the lives of children being taken care of by LPC in Port Moresby,” Mr Sonk added.
“Last year we presented K100, 000 to LPC from Kumul Petroleum Charity Golf challenge and we are hoping we can top that amount this year.”
Registration fee for a team is K3000. There will be prizes, auctions and entertainment.
Mr Sonk said he was looking forward to a successful fund raising golf challenge on June 28.
“As the National Oil and Gas Company, we believe that our social investments such as our support to Life PNG Care through charity golf, are creating an inclusive society for Papua New Guineans so that people from all walks of life can prosper, whether it is through sport or education,” Mr Sonk said.
“In our association with LPC so far, we have become aware that its objectives are very much aligned with Kumul Petroleum’s vision of creating opportunities for Papua New Guineans”.
“LPC is doing a tremendous job by empowering underprivileged children in Port Moresby for a sustainable future through education under Strongim Pikinini Education and Mobile Education Programs,” he added.
“I invite those wishing to enter teams or just play golf in the Kumul Petroleum Charity Golf challenge, to call – 3202253.”
