Port Moresby, 7th August 2017 – A non-profit organisation Life PNG Care (LPC), was the recipient of a major sponsor of K58, 800 donation from Kumul Petroleum Holdings Limited (KPHL) today. KPHL Social Inclusion Chairman Mr Ian Marru said KPHL is glad to work in association with LPC director Mr Collin Pake. He further said the company has been supporting the organization since 2015 and appreciate the initiative Mr Pake has taken to form such an organization to cater for under privileged children in Port Moresby. In noting the great work the NGO does, Mr Marru said the organization not only provides education to the vulnerable and disadvantaged children but also provides home and basic necessities for them.
He further said KPHL as a National Oil and Gas Company; its vision is to create value and opportunities for Papua New Guinean. In addition, its partnership with LPC is a good will towards the NGO as KPHL is promoting its core values in benefiting the country through these children.
Life PNG Care Director Collin Pake while receiving the cheque appreciated and acknowledged KPHL management for the decision they have made to help the under privileged children. He said the funds raised from the dinner will help with the building of a new house for the 46 orphans, who are currently overcrowded in a rented house, which they call home.
