Kumul Petroleum Launches Charity Golf Cup
Papua New Guinea’s National Oil and Gas Company (NOC) Kumul Petroleum Holdings Limited (Kumul Petroleum) today launched its Charity Golf Cup. The NOC’s signature charity golf is named Kumul Petroleum Charity Golf (KPCG).
Kumul Petroleum Managing Director Wapu Sonk while launching the golf challenge announced that the Inaugural Golf Challenge is scheduled for Friday, July 13, 2018 at the Royal Port Moresby Golf Club.
Mr Sonk highlighted the golf challenge’s objectives saying; “our primary objective is to assist raise funds for Life PNG Care (LPC), a Papua New Guinean non-government organisation that runs a Care Center for underprivileged children in Port Moresby.”
“In our association with LPC so far, we are aware that its objectives are very much aligned with Kumul Petroleum’s core values in creating opportunity for Papua New Guineans,” Mr Sonk added.
The Managing Director stressed that LPC is doing a tremendous job by empowering underprivileged children in Port Moresby for a sustainable future through education under its Strongim Pikinini Education and Mobile Education Programs.
“As a NOC, we are happy to support by way of hosting an annual golf tournament such as this to raise funds to sustain the programmes untaken by LPC.”
“As Papua New Guinea’s NOC and a corporate citizen, we value in our social investments and adding values to NGOs and other sectors investing in creating a better society,” he added.
Meanwhile, Mr Sonk invited and welcomed other corporate entities, individuals, and other stakeholders to register a team, or sponsor prizes and holes.
All proceeds collected from the KPCG will go to LPCBack to News
