KPHL supports PNG Olympic Committee with K1 million

Kumul Petroleum Holdings Limited (KPHL) today signed a K1 million sponsorship agreement with the Papua New Guinea Olympic Committee.                                                                                                    The sponsorship is in support of Team PNG’s participation in the Pacific Mini Games in Port Vila, Vanuatu, in December 2017 and the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia, in April 2018. The agreement gives KPHL exclusive naming and branding rights as the platinum sponsor of Team PNG.

Managing Director Mr Wapu Sonk said KPHL was proud to support PNG’s participation in these two major sporting events.“KPHL’s vision is to create value and opportunity for PNG and its people by becoming a major national oil and gas corporation. To that end, we see that the opportunity to support PNGOC’s proposal goes a long way to meaningfully contribute to the pool of talent PNG will be exposing in these two international events. This is also a good image and branding opportunity to expose KPHL in such major sporting events where PNG talent will be on display,” Mr Sonk said.
